ASCO GU 2025

Paula Coyle and Jenny Fletcher are very much looking forward to being back at Wembley for the annual BHBIA conference. It’s always a great couple of days, and this year’s line-up does not disappoint, looking more interactive than ever with plenty of workshops to choose from to interact with the best brains in our business!

Paula and Jenny share their ‘top picks’ for this year…

Paula is looking forward to hearing the Keynote from Omar Ali Former Adviser to NICE & Head of Payers at Verpora sharing their insights from the Payer perspective as it forms such an integral part of our ongoing research, particularly amongst pharmacists and primary care physicians.

Paula Coyle is also keen to hear how physicians segment their patients and what influences their decisions in Hilary Worton and Siegfried Ertl session from APLUSA on ‘Harnessing the Power of Analytical AI’. They will discuss how advanced analytics and AI can uncover hidden real-world behaviour-based patient segments, providing strategic actions to expand brand opportunities—a subject close to Beyond Blue ‘s heart!

Jenny Fletcher is looking forward to Yuliya Fontanetti ( BHBIA Ethics & Compliance Committee Chair and Global Head – Quality Assurance and Compliance Lumanity) ‘unmasking’ compliance, which promises to make compliance engaging and relevant and help us all navigate AI in an ethical and compliant manner.

The concept of ‘leaving respondents alone’ appeals to Jenny Fletcher as Max Taylor McEwan and Jemma Reast from Madano discuss ways to optimise respondent experiences, focussing on patient research in rare diseases and end-of-life care.

With 8 workshops to choose from across the 2 days, Paula Coyle plans to attend ‘Unlocking Therapeutic Insights through Video Listening on TikTok’ from Jackie Cuyvers , Co–Founder and CEO of Convosphere . Paula finds this the logical next step in social media listening, showcasing how TikTok can revolutionise our understanding of therapeutic areas.

Paula Coyle is hoping she will be in with a chance to win a prize at the ‘Not All Respondents Are Created Equal’ session from Hannah Brown and Alexis Austin at M3 Global Research where they will be challenging assumptions about HCPs’ research experiences and preferences.

You will find Jenny Fletcher in the ‘AI vs. Human’ session from Viv Farr at Narrative Health and Shaan Thakerar, MSc as they pit human understanding in doctor-patient dialogues and road-test various simulations vs. real life scenarios!

And of course, the evening BOBI awards ceremony holds great excitement as Beyond Blue are shortlisted for ‘Analyst of the Year’ Mark Lundon Sean Dougherty Thomas Barnes Mary Ann Slater plus both Samuel Bates and Sophie Little as finalists in the Best Newcomer category! As sponsors for the ‘Best Use of Innovation’ category we are really looking forward to hearing more from all the finalists and celebrating the phenomenal talent and great minds in our industry.

Will we see you there?
