Research Executive
Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the design of study materials.
- Briefing fieldwork agencies and moderators on the objectives and logistics of the study.
- Liaising with international field agencies to ensure recruitment and interviews are conducted to a high standard in a timely manner.
- Conducting telephone or face to face interviews with health care professionals in the UK or US.
- Attending and viewing research internationally (primarily within Europe but also US &/or Asia as required).
- Supporting in the analysis and presentation development for each study.
- Attending and contributing to client meetings and presentations.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum 2:1 degree or above is required, coupled with strong A level grades or equivalent qualifications. All degree subjects will be considered provided the applicant can demonstrate their interest and suitability for the role. Degrees in biological / life sciences, social sciences, marketing, or business are desirable but not essential.
- Applicants must be free to travel internationally, at short notice, to meet the job specification.

Location: The role will preferably be hybrid with a mix of remote working and occasional office days, but a purely remote working role will be considered for candidates not able to relocate to within commutable distance of Manchester. However, all applicants must be able to attend the office on some days.
Start dates: The start date is flexible according to the specific needs of the successful candidate(s). We will consider start dates from September 2026 up until January 2027. Please indicate preferred start dates within your covering letter.

- Supporting /managing day-to-day elements of multiple primary MR projects (qualitative & quantitative)
- Contributing to all aspects of a research project: from supporting project kick-off, designing research materials (screeners, questionnaires, discussion guides, etc.), checking survey links, collaborating with the Operations team on fieldwork/data management, moderating, organizing data, analyzing data into insights, creating storytelling reports, and managing various aspects for each specific project
- Internal and external point of contact: note-taking on all meetings, communicating project updates, and logistics
- Working with other members of the research team to continue to develop, learn, and grow
- Developing experiences with and demonstrating understanding across a broad range of MR methodologies, therapy areas, clients’ business needs, and industry knowledge
- Driving and cultivating our culture, values, and behaviors, particularly as a core team member of a growing US-based team
- Have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in another pharmaceutical market research role
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize across a variety of projects and timelines
- Interest in continuing to sharpen your primary market research skills
- Experience and knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry

Beyond Blue partners with pharma companies, providing marketing intelligence and consulting services to support pre-launch and launch initiatives. We conduct qualitative and quantitative market research with HCPs, patients, caregivers, payers, and other key healthcare stakeholders and deliver insights to inform strategic decision-making.
Main tasks and responsibilities include:
- Lead quantitative and qualitative market research projects from start to finish (from designing a research plan to delivery & follow-ups)
- Provide guidance, direction, coaching, and mentorship to the project team (ranging across materials development, moderating, analysis, delivery, project management, and individual growth areas)
- Be the client-facing account/project lead, ensuring successful delivery
- Demonstrate expertise in a broad range of MR methodologies and techniques
- Manage client relationships to gain repeat and new business by being a trusted partner and collaborator
- Engage in business development activities by designing research plans and proposals based on client objectives/RFPs
- Motivate and support the personal and professional development of team members (indirect and direct line management)
