Data Analyst
Beyond Blue Insight is an independent, global, strategic pharmaceutical market research company. We are looking for a highly motivated and hard-working Data Analyst to join our team.
About Beyond Blue:
Beyond Blue partners with pharma companies, providing marketing intelligence and consulting services to support pre-launch and launch initiatives. We conduct qualitative and quantitative market research with HCPs, patients, caregivers, payers, and other key healthcare stakeholders and deliver insights to inform strategic decision-making.
Main tasks and responsibilities include:
- Working as part of a team, supporting with questionnaire development, data quality checks and conducting basic data analysis of multiple quantitative market research projects simultaneously to deadlines and an excellent standard
- Reviewing the programming instructions of questionnaires to ensure clarity and efficiency in data capture
- Programming surveys accurately or supporting with the programming if provided by an external provider
- Monitoring data collection during fieldwork to ensure data quality and adherence to quotas, sending regular updates to the project team
- Checking table specification requirements for clarity and accuracy of requested tables
- Running data tables, in line with the table specifications, seeking guidance and/or quality checks from a senior colleague for more complex tasks, such as data weighting and significance testing
- Developing Excel-based dashboards if required, seeking guidance and/or quality checks from a senior colleague as required
- Acting as a liaison between the project team and external providers to ensure that accurate and appropriate guidance/information is flowing in both directions
- Actively seek exposure to more complex methods (such as conjoint, MaxDiff, segmentation analysis and statistical modeling) to start building understanding of these approaches
- Working as part of a team to look at advancements in methodologies and improving process

Degree required:
A degree with a strong emphasis on the analysis of numerical data is required. Recent graduates with a degree in Maths, Statistics, Applied Statistics, Medical Statistics, Social Statistics, Public Health, and Epidemiology are encouraged to apply.
A minimum 2:1 degree or above is required.

Research Director

Whilst this is primarily a quant-focused role, a willingness to work across hybrid qual-quant methodologies is required.

Main tasks and responsibilities include:
- Lead quantitative and qualitative market research projects from start to finish (from designing a research plan to delivery & follow-ups)
- Provide guidance, direction, coaching, and mentorship to the project team (ranging across materials development, moderating, analysis, delivery, project management, and individual growth areas)
- Be the client-facing account/project lead, ensuring successful delivery
- Demonstrate expertise in a broad range of MR methodologies and techniques
- Manage client relationships to gain repeat and new business by being a trusted partner and collaborator
- Engage in business development activities by designing research plans and proposals based on client objectives/RFPs
- Motivate and support the personal and professional development of team members (indirect and direct line management)
- Be a champion of change and innovation – be creative with methodologies, able to be solution-oriented & problem solve, learn new tools/techniques, and leverage technology
- Drive and cultivate our culture, values, and behaviors
Who you are / What you’ll bring:
- Experience leading quant segmentations and conjoint studies’
- Experience and knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong client relationship management and commercial acumen, including an appreciation of client-side/marketing business challenges
- Excellent communication skills (internally and externally)
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize across a variety of projects and timelines
- A positive, creative, and collaborative mindset
- Willingness to occasionally travel (including international)

As Research Manager/Senior Research Manager, you will:
- Manage the delivery of multiple primary MR projects
- Demonstrate experience and knowledge of a broad range of MR methodologies and techniques, including more advanced or complex approaches
- Demonstrate knowledge of the therapy area on each project to apply to research materials and findings, and to enable credible discussion with clients. Start to develop expertise within specific therapy areas
- Demonstrate knowledge of the pharma industry by putting research findings into the broader context of the client’s business situation
- Lead internal and participate in external project meetings. Act as the primary point of contact for clients in relation to the day-to day project management. Participate in client discussions related to objectives, design/ methodology, and research findings
- Be responsible for end-to-end project management ensuring all project components and tasks are allocated and completed according to timelines
- Lead or co-lead the delivery of the final presentation and/or workshop and addresses client questions or challenges with support
- Motivate and engage the project team to deliver against expectations, providing coaching and mentoring as required
Job requirements/What you’ll bring:
- A bachelor’s degree (minimum) in a relevant discipline such as life sciences, psychology, social sciences, statistics, or marketing.
- Ideally 4 to 5+ years of dedicated market research experience, specifically within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare sector
- Extensive hands-on experience designing and delivering primary market research across the product lifecycle
- Experience and knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong client relationship management and commercial acumen, including appreciation of client-side/marketing business challenges
- Excellent communication skills (internally and externally)
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize across a variety of projects and timelines
- A positive, creative, and collaborative mindset
- Willingness to travel to Manchester once a month

Senior Research Executive Role:
Working as part of a global team to manage and support the delivery of multiple market research (MR) projects by designing research studies, day-to-day project management, analysis, and reporting to the internal and external timelines and standards set.
Main tasks and responsibilities include:
- Supporting /managing day-to-day elements of multiple primary MR projects (qualitative & quantitative)
- Contributing to all aspects of a research project: from supporting project kick-off, designing research materials (screeners, questionnaires, discussion guides, etc.), checking survey links, collaborating with the Operations team on fieldwork/data management, moderating, organizing data, analyzing data into insights, creating storytelling reports, and managing various aspects for each specific project
- Internal and external point of contact: note-taking on all meetings, communicating project updates, and logistics
- Working with other members of the research team to continue to develop, learn, and grow
- Developing experiences with and demonstrating understanding across a broad range of MR methodologies, therapy areas, clients’ business needs, and industry knowledge
- Driving and cultivating our culture, values, and behaviors, particularly as a core team member of a growing US-based team
Who you are / What you’ll bring:
- Have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in another pharmaceutical market research role
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize across a variety of projects and timelines
- Interest in continuing to sharpen your primary market research skills
- Experience and knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
- Excellent communication skills (internally and externally)
- A positive, creative, flexible, and collaborative mindset
- Willingness to take risks, challenge the status quo, and think creatively through problems
- Openness to occasional travel (including international)
Salary: $70,000 – $80,000
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. This range may differ based on your experience and skill set. We consider salary as a part of an overall compensation package, offering additional benefits, tailored learning and development opportunities, and more.
