Commercial Operations Executive 

Location: Hybrid Or Remote Working
Hours: Full-time
Salary: £26k-30k DOE

 

 

 

What is the role?

To accurately forecast the budget and profitability of each research project, from proposal to completion and support with company finance administration.

As Commercial Operations Executive you will:

  • Work with the internal proposal writer to collate and build the budget and re-costs for each project, considering the markets, timelines and requests for innovation
  • Source suppliers of services and requests quotes and information from them based on the specified project requirements
  • Recommend appropriate suppliers to meet project requirements.
  • Populate costs onto PowerPoint slides for inclusion in the client’s proposal
  • Convert costs to client-specific cost formats and invoice schedules
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project pricing or queries, both internally and externally with suppliers
  • Check and approve agreements for commissioning services from suppliers
  • Checks supplier invoices against commissioning agreements and budgets, highlighting any significant deviations to senior members of the Commercial Operations team
  • Process invoices accurately and in line with agreed coding approach
  • Support with monitoring and tracking spend with external suppliers to maximise rebate returns
  • Generate client invoices to each project’s invoicing schedule using accounting software
  • Develop and maintains good working relationships and knowledge of our suppliers
  • Monitor survey completion by in-house teams to gather feedback on supplier performance
  • Support senior members of the Commercial Operations team with admin tasks relating to suppliers
  • Carry out any other duties commensurate with the role as required

We work with some of the biggest pharma companies to help them determine which new potentially life-saving or life-improving treatments to prioritise into development. We gather information from medical experts, patients, and carers, and deliver insights to pharma companies to inform their strategic decision-making.

    Recruitment process

    • 1st stage: Informal discussion to check mutual fit
    • 2nd stage: Formal interview with completion of a pre-task. Followed by an informal discussion to meet some of the team members for the candidate to run a Q&A and get a feel for the company & culture
