Research Director (US)

Research Director role:
This is a key leadership position within our US team and is responsible for successfully managing and delivering projects as well as supporting company growth goals.
Main tasks and responsibilities include:
- Lead qualitative and quantitative market research projects from start to finish (from designing a research plan to delivery & follow-ups)
- Provide guidance, direction, coaching, and mentorship to the project team (ranging across materials development, moderating, analysis, delivery, project management, and individual growth areas)
- Be the client-facing account/project lead, ensuring successful delivery
- Demonstrate expertise in a broad range of MR methodologies and techniques
- Manage client relationships to gain repeat and new business by being a trusted partner and collaborator
- Engage in business development activities by designing research plans and proposals based on client objectives/RFPs
- Motivate and support the personal and professional development of team members (indirect and direct line management)
- Be a champion of change and innovation – be creative with methodologies, able to be solution-oriented & problem solve, learn new tools/techniques, and leverage technology
- Drive and cultivate our culture, values, and behaviors
Who you are / What you’ll bring:
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience designing and delivering primary market research across the product lifecycle
- Experience and knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong client relationship management and commercial acumen, including an appreciation of client-side/marketing business challenges
- Excellent communication skills (internally and externally)
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize across a variety of projects and timelines
- A positive, creative, and collaborative mindset
- Willingness to occasionally travel (including international)
Salary: $125,000 – $150,000
The base salary range represents the low and high ends of the salary range for this position. This range may differ based on your experience and skill set. As Senior Research Manager/Account Director, you will:
Manage the delivery of multiple primary MR (Market Research) projects.
- Demonstrate experience and knowledge of a broad range of MR methodologies and techniques, including more advanced or complex approaches
- Demonstrate knowledge of the therapy area on each project to apply to research materials and findings, and to enable credible discussion with the client. Demonstrates expertise within specific therapy areas
- Demonstrate knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry by putting research findings into the broader context of the client’s business situation
- Lead internal project meetings. Acts as the primary point of contact for clients in relation to the day-to-day project management. Participates in client discussions related to objectives, design/methodology, and research findings
- Be responsible for end-to-end project management, ensuring all project components and tasks are allocated and completed according to timelines
- Lead or co-lead the delivery of the final presentation and/or workshop, and address client questions or challenges with support
- Motivate and engage the project team to deliver against expectations, providing coaching and mentoring as required

Senior Research Executive Role:
Working as part of a global team to manage and support the delivery of multiple market research (MR) projects by designing research studies, day-to-day project management, analysis, and reporting to the internal and external timelines and standards set.
Main tasks and responsibilities include:
- Supporting /managing day-to-day elements of multiple primary MR projects (qualitative & quantitative)
- Contributing to all aspects of a research project: from supporting project kick-off, designing research materials (screeners, questionnaires, discussion guides, etc.), checking survey links, collaborating with the Operations team on fieldwork/data management, moderating, organizing data, analyzing data into insights, creating storytelling reports, and managing various aspects for each specific project
- Internal and external point of contact: note-taking on all meetings, communicating project updates, and logistics
- Working with other members of the research team to continue to develop, learn, and grow
- Developing experiences with and demonstrating understanding across a broad range of MR methodologies, therapy areas, clients’ business needs, and industry knowledge
- Driving and cultivating our culture, values, and behaviors, particularly as a core team member of a growing US-based team
Who you are / What you’ll bring:
- Have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in another pharmaceutical market research role
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize across a variety of projects and timelines
- Interest in continuing to sharpen your primary market research skills
- Experience and knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
- Excellent communication skills (internally and externally)

Salary: $70,000 – $80,000

Operations Executive / Project Coordinator (UK)
What is the role?
We are seeking an organized, proactive, and motivated individual to join our Operations team as an Operations Executive/Project Coordinator. This role sits at the heart of our project delivery, supporting multiple market research studies by coordinating logistics, managing suppliers, and ensuring the smooth running of operational processes across the business.
This role is suitable for someone early in their career or with up to 18 months’ experience in an office or project-support environment. Full training will be provided.
As an Operations Executive / Project Coordinator, you will:
- Support internal teams in the day-to-day running of projects
- Manage and coordinate external suppliers to ensure high-quality, timely, and cost-effective delivery
- Prepare, organize, and quality-check project documents and materials
- Monitor and track project timelines, keeping documentation, trackers, and teams fully up to date
- Identify and troubleshoot minor operational issues independently, escalating when needed
- Balance multiple projects and deadlines, prioritizing effectively
- Build strong knowledge of our supplier network and the services they provide
- Support project finance management by checking and approving supplier invoices and updating project financial files
Competencies
Essential:
- Strong academic background and/or experience in a fast-paced office or project-support role
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Flexible and adaptable to change
- Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight timelines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good level of computer literacy (MS Office, file management, digital tools)
Desirable:

Research Executive
Beyond Blue is a dynamic, growing company that specializes in the design and execution of international marketing research for the pharmaceutical industry. We advise pharmaceutical companies on their development and marketing strategy for drugs that are in clinical trials and up to and beyond launch.
Research Executive Role:
Your role will be to work as part of a team to manage multiple marketing research studies for clients within the pharmaceutical industry.
Main tasks and responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the design of study materials
- Briefing fieldwork agencies and moderators on the objectives and logistics of the study
- Liaising with international field agencies to ensure recruitment and interviews are conducted to a high standard in a timely manner
- Conducting telephone or face-to-face interviews with health care professionals in the UK or the US
- Attending and viewing research internationally (primarily within Europe but also the US &/or Asia as required)
- Supporting the analysis and presentation development for each study
- Attending and contributing to client meetings and presentations
Who you are / What you’ll bring:
- A minimum 2:1 degree or above is required, coupled with strong A-level grades or equivalent qualifications. All degree subjects will be considered provided the applicant can demonstrate their interest and suitability for the role. Degrees in biological / life sciences, social sciences, marketing, or business are desirable but not essential
- Applicants must be free to travel internationally, at short notice, to meet the job specification

Location:
